Business Opportunity
Even as much of Asia advances to higher technology and greater industrialization, the majority of Asian people groups are still trapped in webs of poverty. The poorest of the poor - mostly women - must constantly struggle just to survive. Basic human rights such as putting enough food on the table to eat, safe housing, sanitation, educating children and adequate health care are out reach for millions in the Philippines alone. Unemployment and underemployment are daunting problems compounded by very low salaries for the working poor. Even though the minimum wage hovers around US$4 per day, most of the working poor receive much less with tens of millions earning less than US$1 per day. Most government agencies agree that the development of profitable businesses to generate income will not only bring hope to the poor by helping them to become self-sufficient, but in turn will also aid the rest of the economy and increase the level of development in the country.
Micro-Enterprise and Micro-Financing are two vehicles that can also give opportunities to act as catalysts for God's Kingdom by creating an environment for demonstrating the ways of God, providing jobs and dignity to the poor and enabling sustainable development for communities.

What We Do
Hope for the Nations creates small businesses that give Agdao youth and adults the necessary tools to live a life of self-sufficiency grounded in an atmosphere of Christian discipleship. There are two major beneficiaries from these businesses:
- Families; so that they can become self-sufficient and are able to provide for their own needs.
- Hope for the Nations; to support some of our other projects and attain self sufficiency in covering operational costs, medical and nutritional costs, educational expenses and staff salaries.
